Well, we didn't do so great like we did last week, but one of us has taken the lead while another has dropped to third in the weekly guess-fest. Here are the results from our Big East picks for week 2.
FIU over Louisville
Louisville offense looks real bad and their defense got torched. I can only hope that FIU takes it to UCF next week in what should be a very entertaining game. We all lost out on this game.
Matt: 8-1
Mike: 8-1
Jim: 8-1
UNC over Rutgers
This game was closer than I thought it would be, showing Rutgers has some fight in them, but on the road and mistakes cost them this game, but we get the wins all around.
Matt: 9-1
Mike: 9-1
Jim: 9-1
Pitt over Maine
This game was over before it started, but Pitt doesn't look that scary still with its new offense. We all get wins here too.
Matt: 10-1
Mike: 10-1
Jim: 10-1
WVU over Norfolk
This game was more interesting in the first half when Norfolk had the lead, I am sure Jim was a little more than upset by the performance. Second half WVU flexed its muscles and it was all over.
Matt: 11-1
Mike: 11-1
Jim: 11-1
Tennessee over Cincinnati
I had some hope Cincinnati would be better than this, but this is what I get for cheering for them here. Jim and Mike pull ahead of me in this game.
Matt: 11-2
Mike: 12-1
Jim: 12-1
Syracuse over Rhode Island
Another game against an FCS team, so there wasn't much doubt in the results here. I am glad just to keep pace in this game against.
Matt: 12-2
Mike: 13-1
Jim: 13-1
USF over Ball State
This game could have been a lot worse for Ball State, but second team offense for USF looked rough. We all get a win here.
Mat: 13-2
Mike: 14-1
Jim: 14-1
Vanderbilt over UCONN
Well, another game the Big East laid an egg on. Vanderbilt is a little surprising right now, starting 2-0 on the year, but it doesn't help us except that Mike is now the leader for this week!
Matt: 13-3
Mike: 15-1
Jim: 14-2
So I have slipped to third while lucky Mike called all his games right except for the Louisville game. We will have our picks for week three later this week.
