USF Ladies Take Down Akron 1 to 0

The USF women's soccer team put it together finally, getting the offense on track as the defense took care of business as they shut down Akron, 1 to 0 and improve to 3-2-1 on the season.

USF got the lone goal scored in the 63rd minute of the contest as Brittany Piulon set up the assist to get Demi Stokes the goal. Stokes had 9 shots on the night (4 on goal) as she took over as the lead striker for the Bulls. Chelsea Klotz did play in the game, taking 4 shots on the evening, a great sign to see after her collision on Friday.

The Bulls were able to shut down Akron, allowing just a total of 4 shots from the Zips and none on goal (makes life a little bit easier for McClure in the net).

The Bulls really needed this win after the offense disappeared the last two games. The Bulls will try to sweep at home this weekend as they take on Jacksonville on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM.
