News broke (from 247 sports and Rivals) right before game started last night about a new commitment for Coach Holtz. Jarvis McCall, the 3-star safety out of Seffner, Florida (Armwood High School) made the verbal to Holtz.
The 6-2 185-pound defensive back plays both safety and corner, but will stay at safety coming out of high school. McCall has received offers from Vanderbilt, FIU, UCF, and Indiana and it would appear his recruiting would only pick up with other programs looming.
This is another huge pick up for USF, making it their 10th verbal commit and 5th defensive back to commit. The Bulls would be thin at safety next year with just Joyce, Garye, and Lejiste returning, so the need for safeties is huge and Holtz landed a top talent.
Welcome to the USF family Mr. McCall.
