| USF will try to get back to it's winning ways as they take Murray State today at 2PM. |
Murray State went 4-12-4 last season, including 2-6-3 away from home). They averaged just .80 goals per game while their opponents scored 1.60 goals per game on average. The 2011 season is not going great so far either for them.
Murray State (1-4) fresh off of a 5 to 1 loss to the College of Charleston the day before will be looking to rebound and take down USF. The Bulls are looking to get the offense going and have a great opportunity here to get the win and get back on the winning side of their record.
Murray State (Racers) have been sparked by freshman midfielder Julie Mooney (5-5) who has 1 goal on the season and has taken 9 shots already (eager to fire away). Junior defender Veronika Pribyslaviska (5-9) has 1 goal on the season with 3 shots so far. Sophomore forward/midfielder Shauna Wicker (5-8) has 2 goals on the season in 3 starts so the Bulls will have to watch her if she starts or subs in.
Senior defender/midfielder Ashley Green (5-5) has made 4 starts and has taken 3 shots on the season. Freshman defender/midfielder Amber Hanson (5-4) has taken 7 shots on the season (another young player that will fire away). Junior defender Jenelle Cunningham (5-7) has 2 assists on the season so she is very active moving from the backline. Senior defender Maja Nordahl (5-7) has taken 4 shots on the season. Freshman defender/midfielder Bronagh Kerins (5-4) has taken 1 shot on the season as well.
The Racers have some issues in the net. Yi Du (6-1 freshman) is not off to a great start. She has allowed 10 goals so far (2.13 average), making 15 saves (just a 60% average on the seasons). They have a very young player in the net so the Bulls who were held quiet in the Vanderbilt will need to get on the attack and allow Klotz who had just one shot in the last game, to attack more.
Bulls should win this game and need to get a solid win during this weekend as they try to keep pace in the Big East.
