USF Ladies Tie Murray State 0 to 0

The Bulls battled through two overtimes, but couldn't manage to get a goal against Murray State, tying them at 0 to 0 and improving their record to 2-2-1. The Bulls outshot Murray State 24 to 9, but just couldn't get the ball close to the net despite having so many chances.

Taylor Patterson had 5 shots to lead the attack, but just two on goal. Demi Stoke took 4 shots (Klotz was held without a shot in this game). Kelly Campbell had 1 shot and played 100 minutes total, showing her endurance on the field. Marsha Harper took 3 shots on the afternoon. Noelle Pineiro had 2 shots on goal (see the trend here?). Kayla Bala played 5 minutes (we always want to see what she is doing)

A tie is not the worst thing, although taking 24 shots and coming away with nothing is not a great outing by the Bulls and going double overtime with an FCS opponent will not win style points or make the coaches happy (kudos to Murray State for hanging in there that long). The defense did well to limit the Racers to 9 shots and McClure kept things in check on the back line.

The Bulls will next take on Akron on Friday night on campus (game is at 7:30 PM) so let's hope they can figure out how to finish off an opponent and connect on some of their shots on goal.
