USF Volleyball Takes on Western Michigan

The Bulls are looking to get off to a better start today and put the bad loss last night behind them (Picture: www.gousfbulls.com)
The Bulls dropped an ugly game last night to Wisconsin, losing all three sets and dropping to 4-6 on the year in the opening round of the Wisconsin InnTower Challenge. Today, they will go against another solid squad as they try to put that bad game behind them (game starts at 6PM).

Western Michigan is 9-2 on the year, 4-1 on neutral sites, so it will be a huge challenge for Claire Lessinger and her team.

The Broncos are led by junior middle-blocker Jessica Brown (5-11) who has 123 kills on the season with 50 digs. Senior middle-blocker Ashley Turnage (6-0) has 118 kills, 15 digs, and 12 blocks, moving all over the court. Sophomore outside-hitter Ali Gossen (6-0) has 118 kills, 7 service aces, and 103 digs on the year. Freshman setter Terin Norris (5-9) has 82 digs and 465 sets on the year, playing the center of the court well despite being a freshman.

USF was nearly silent last night, getting just 10 points in the second set against Wisconsin. J'beria Davis, Valerie El Houssine, and others will have to rise to the challenge today and come up big if they want to get a win on the road before they head to Northern Illinois tomorrow to take on the Huskies at 2 PM. Good luck to the ladies today!
