Week 7 is here and as the Big East race rolls along, we continue our guessing and game picking. Mike continues to lead the way with an impressive 34-7 record. I sit at 31-10 (gaining some ground) while Jim sits in third at 29-12 (got to step up). Let's see how we do this week.
Utah at Pitt
Matt: I can't figure out Pitt. One week they are incredible, then they lay an egg against the fighting Snookis. Utah is having a rough season and traveling East probably won't help them either. I am flipping a coin for this game and going with Pitt somehow, I am far from confident in this game. Pick: Pitt
Mike: This league is more confusing than last year. If it were any other Pac 12 team, I'd pick them. But Utah is really bad this year. I think I'm going with Pitt strangely enough.Jim: No way am I picking Pitt for this one. Nope. After the thrashing they received from Slutgers, I cannot, in good conscience, pick them. Pick: Utah
Louisville at Cincinnati
Matt: I watched the Louisville game and wanted my dignity back after seeing that offense. The Cardinals defense kept in their loss to UNC, but facing a high scoring team like Cincy on the road and without anyone producing on offense, this could be an ugly game. Pick: Cincinnati
Mike: Like I said last week, I really overestimated Louisville. I don't see them getting very far in conference play this year, and this game sure doesn't look like a win for the Cards. Cincy will win by several touchdowns.Jim: Butch Jones (hey, I got his name right!) has this team going. Louisville is going nowhere fast. Pick: Cincinnati.
Matt: How on earth is Rutgers leading the Big East (don't answer that question?) Navy is not the same team this season, but will still get their yards. Somehow the fighting Snookis pounded Pitt last week and as much as I hate to say it, they should win again here as well. Pick: Rutgers
Mike: As the conference leader, Rutgers is the Big East's representative of this week in non-conference play. I saw Navy lost to Air Force, then both teams got slaughtered last week. Look out, everybody, Rutgers is about to be 5-1.Jim: While Navy may not be the same team, I have a feeling they'll get Slutgers in this one, especially since Schiano announced they're starting true Freshman QB Gary Nova. Could be a future "Big East Game of the Week." Pick: Navy
Matt: Won't spend too much time here (site has it all covered). USF responds this week and gets the win. Pick: USF
Mike: If USF hasn't gotten back on their feet with 16 days to prepare for one of the worst teams of all of the BCS leagues, they shouldn't get to play anymore. No more late-game heartbreak for the Bulls against UConn this year; USF will win by 20.Jim: Matt & Mike have this one covered, I imagine. USF
