The Bulls are back in action finally, 16 days was way to long for a football game. USF is down 6 to 3 at half time and it has been frustrating to watch.
The USF offense did well on their first drive of the game, but once again fell asleep in the red zone and had to settle for a field goal. The Huskies were able to drive the next time down and tie it with a field goal of their own. The defense tightened up for USF, forcing the field goal after they had 1st and goal, so the defense is getting better.
The frustration is the offense right now. The defense has a ton of sacks on the afternoon, including several fumble recoveries, but the offense is just struggling right now to get anything done and finish the drives.
The team is playing hard, but have to execute better. They are not finishing on offense, getting penalties, and just seem a bit off (rusty maybe?). Maybe the offense will get it together in the second half, figure out how to pass down the field, and get something going to take the pressure off the defense a bit. Daniels has to do better, there is no question about it.
