Another week, another slate of rough games in the Big East. There were a few surprises this weekend as conference play continues to heat up. Let's see how we did with our picks.
Pitt over USF
This game was just ugly. The USF defense couldn't stop anyone as the high octane offense of the Panthers gased the USF defenders and gave Holtz is worst defeat since taking over at USF. We all take a lose here as well.
Mike: 28-4
Matt: 26-6
Jim: 24-8
Rutgers over Syracuse
Who saw that coming? It was a low scoring game, but the fighting snookis were able to get the big road win while Syracuse continues to confuse people with their play. We all take another lose here again (not off to a great start).
Mike: 28-5
Matt: 26-7
Jim: 24-9
Cincinnati over Miami (OH)
While it wasn't the biggest win in the Bearcats's history, it was still win. Cincinnati is quietly having a solid season and will be a team to contend with later one. We all get a win here (finally).
Mike: 29-5
Matt: 27-7
Jim: 25-9
Western Michigan over UCONN
Who can figure out UCONN these days? They win the games they should fall apart in and drop the games they should win. Jim and I take a lose here while somehow Mike continues to roll along.
Mike: 30-5
Matt: 27-8
Jim: 25-10 (first one to double digit loses, ouch)
Marshall over Louisville
Probably one of the strangest games all weekend long. Marshall is a bad team and Louisville, at least on paper, should have won this game. We all take a stunning lose here just like Charlie Strong.
Mike: 30-6
Matt: 27-9
Jim: 25-11
WVU over Bowling Green
WVU won this game easily. Bowling Green really never had a shot, but at least they didn't give up 70 points as Geno Smith continues to have a solid season.
Mike: 31-6
Matt: 28-9
Jim: 26-11
So Mike continues to be the luckiest person out there. I am trying to close the gap while Jim suffers a rough weekend with multiple teams falling short of our predictions.
