USF Soccer Wins Over FGCU

Dom Dwyer scored another goal as the Bulls came away with a big win on the road at FGCU.
In front of a crowd of 1556, the 14th ranked Bulls were able to handle the noise and come away with a big non-conference victory, 2 to 0.

The Bulls got on the board first in the 41st minute when Stiven Salinas was taken down in the net setting up a penalty kick for Leston Paul who gave USF the early edge. In the 62nd minute, Dom Dwyer found himself wide open (not the best idea) and buried his shot to put USF up for good.

USF is now 6-2-2 on the season (1-0-1 in Big East play) as they continue to play well. Kiefer was pleased with the showing by his team in front of a hostile crowd, knowing they will see plenty more of those on the road this season.

The Bulls will return home for a match on Saturday night (8PM) as they host Big East foe St. John's (ranked 8th in the country) in a huge match-up.
