USF Volleyball Takes on UCONN

Janice Rivera and crew face another tough contest with UCONN coming to town.

The USF ladies, 6-10 (2-2) are home once again as they host Big East foe UCONN in a big match up (game starts at 7 PM). USF is coming off of a 3 set sweep of Rutgers and is looking to keep it going as they try to get back to .500. The lady Huskies are 9-9 (0-4) this season, 1-4 away from home, so the home floor (plus the crowd) should give USF the edge here.

UCONN is led by senior middle-hitter Allison Nickel (6-3). She has 66 kills on the season including 9 digs and 25 blocks on the season (plays well at the net). Sophomore middle-blocker Jackie Wattles (6-2) has 97 kills, 2 service aces, and 6 digs so far. Junior outside-hitter Mattison Quayle (6-1) has 169 kills, 17 service aces, and 132 digs (does a little bit of everything). Senior outside-hitter Jordan Kirk (6-1) has 203 kills, 15 sets, and 132 digs. Junior setter Angela Roidt (5-8) has 26 kills along with 111 digs and 573 sets (plays center of the court).

The Bulls will need everyone to step up. Valerie El Houssine and company need to protect home court and it will all start with this match here.
