The USF ladies returned home and got a huge victory over instate rival Stetson, 77 to 62. The Bulls were down 35 to 34 at the end of the first half, but the offense, led by Jasmine Wynne and Andrell Smith came to life and got the Bulls a huge win, improving their record to 5-3 on the season.
Jasmine Wynne continues her great start to her senior season. She had 22 points and 10 rebounds on the night. Kaneisha Saunders, quiet in the first half, went off for 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Caitline Rowe had a quiet 8 points and 4 rebounds. Andrell Smith, after being shut out in the first half, had 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Akila McDonald had 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 blocks as she and Rowe continue to dominate the paint for Fernandez this season.
The Bulls needed this win after a tough loss to Miami in Alaska. At 5-3, the ladies now hit the road as they take on Idaho State in the Air Force Classic on Friday night at 7PM. We will have the full pregame and post game coverage right here.
