Day three of the short holiday countdown is here. So far, USF has given us the great softball season and brand new facilities on campus, so let's see the next gift from the 2011 season athletics has given us (can you feel the holiday cheer? Even though it's about 80 degrees out during the day)
Number three: New uniforms
Players and fans always get excited for anything new, whether it's a new playing venue, new opponents, etc. One item that always gets the fans excited is new uniforms (along with the players). This season, the Bulls introduced new uniforms, including two new helmets, new gold pants, and new fonts on the uniforms for the football team (Under Armour did a great job with them).
The Bulls were also one of the few teams selected to be part of the Wounded Warrior Project by Under Armour and got to wear some flashy uniforms for the game against Miami that also raised money for a great cause.
While this seems pointless and doesn't lead to wins on the field, it does raise excitement among the fans and gets the players excited as well to put on something new and unique.
