Big East Week 14 Picks

The final week of the season is here for the Big East (before the bowl games of course). Mike continues to lead the way in our contest, but Jim will do whatever he can to get the win in the final weekend of the season. I am out of it, but I can at least try to get a perfect weekend of picks down at least.

WVU at USF

Matt: After Louisville threw the ball over the field and beat up the Bulls zone coverage, I am not excited about what Geno Smith and crew is going to do in this game. I am picking my Bulls, but trust me, it might be the dumbest thing I have done in a long time, please prove me wrong! Pick: USF
Jim: OK, so obviously I'm picking West Virginia. USF will win the first half, as WVU has yet to play a complete game. But, it's not how you start, it's how you finish. Unfortunately, Craig James is calling this one, too. Pick: WVU
Mike: The weekend we've all been waiting for is finally here! Well, it's not exactly as meaningful as we thought it was going to be, but both teams do have something to play hard for. USF is looking for a bowl berth, and West Virginia is looking for at least a share of the Big East title. But if there's one team whose number has had for a while, it's West Virginia. I'm going with the Bulls to finish strong.

Syracuse at Pitt

Matt: I know Pitt is not that good, but neither is Syracuse. Pitt is depleted right now on their depth chart, but playing at home on senior day should get the team ready to go. Syracuse is pretty bad on offense, so I look for the Pitt Panthers to get a win here in an ugly, low scoring game. Pick: Pitt
Jim: The ACC game of the week! I could careless about these two, honestly. But, I guess I have to pick, so... Pitt.
Mike: Syracuse is officially worse than USF. I have seen nothing to make me believe they can win against a quality team. Hell, they even lost to us! Therefore, I'm picking Pitt.

UCONN at Cincinnati

Matt: UCONN is just bad on offense and playing on the road is not the best thing for them. The Bearcats are still struggling with Munchie running the show, but they are playing at home on another senior day, so look for the Bearcats to win the game with Pead running the ball and the defense swarming all over the Huskies. Pick: Cincinnati
Jim: I'm picking Cincinnati out of necessity. If WVU wins, then Cincy wins, WVU gets the Big East's AQ BCS bid.
Mike: If Connecticut wins this game I am seceding from the Big East myself. Cincy isn't that great, but they're my favorite choice to represent the conference in its BCS game. For the sake of the conference, I'm picking Cincinnati.
