The regular season is finally over and our final picks decided who was the best at picking the games for the conference. It was an interesting year as always for the Big East and our picks proved that no matter what you think you know, never trust it in this conference. Here are the results from week 14 and the winner of the entire contest.
WVU over USF
We won't relive this game too much. WVU got the win as USF gets a losing season for the first time since 2004, same year we joined Big East. Jim gets the win here while Mike and I drink our misery away after this awful season.
Matt: 40-27
Jim: 42-26
Mike: 45-22
Pitt over Syracuse
Pitt played well in their first ACC game, beating Syracuse in front of a nearly empty Heinz Field (another ACC game from what I could tell). Pitt is going to a bowl game but is losing a few coaches as Rich Rod begins to build his staff out at Arizona. We all get a win here.
Matt: 41-27
Jim: 42-26
Mike: 46-22
Cincinnati over UCONN
This game got a little bit closer at the end of it, but the Bearcats were in charge the entire time. Munchie had a career day throwing the ball as they got a piece of the Big East title. Although the conference makes no sense, their win should be sending WVU to a BCS bowl game. We all finish the season with a win here, hurrah!
Matt: 42-27
Jim: 43-26
Mike: 47-22
In his first season, Mike is the winner of the Big East Picks contest. Congrats to Mike for his random guessing, dumb luck, and the horrible conference that gave us all ulcers each week. Here is your prize Mike!
This is your reward, a great Craig James photo. Feel free to print it out and use it for dart practice or encourage fans to ban him from Tampa any time USF has a Thursday night game!
