The USF ladies, 5-4, are hoping to put the ugly loss of last night (fell to Idaho State) behind them today as they take on Air Force at 9PM EST. Air Force is 4-4 on the season and looking to defend their home court against a USF team that is still looking to get more consistent on both sides of the ball.
Air Force is led by junior guard Alicia Leipprandt (5-9). She leads the team with 16.9 points a game, 5.9 rebounds a game, and 2.1 assists per game. Junior forward Dymond James (5-10) has 11.9 points a game and 6.9 rebounds a game, crashing the boards hard for the Falcons. Junior forward Katie Hilbig (6-0) is averaging 8.9 points a game and 6.4 rebounds a game.
Sophomore forward Megan O'Neil (6-2) is averaging 6.6 points a game and 4.9 rebounds a game. Sophomore guard Camille Thompson (5-5) is averaging 6.5 points a game and 3.6 rebounds a game. Sophomore guard Cherae Medina (5-7) is averaging 5 points a game, 4.5 rebounds a game, and 3.5 assists per game.
The Falcons have a strong balance on the front line with both scoring and rebounds. Rowe and McDonald have to get rebounds and help pick up the slack on the scoring end as well. The Bulls will have the size advantage at the guard position, but facing a tough scorer like Leipprandt will be hard for Wynne and Saunders during the game. They will need help and have to execute on offense as well to answer.
