USF WBB Falls on Road to Louisville

Jasmine Wynne had 20 points, but it wasn't enough as the Bulls came up short once again.
The USF ladies led the 15th ranked Louisville Cardinals, but free throw shooting and foul trouble derailed the upset bid as the Bulls fall to the Cardinals 57 to 63 and to 9-8 (1-2) on the season. The Bulls shot just 34% from the floor, 27% from 3-point range and 40% from the free throw line. They committed 14 turnovers and had just 9 assists on a night where at the start the Bulls had a strong lead in front of a crowd of over 7000 fans.

Jasmine Wynne had 20 points and 6 rebounds in another strong performance. Inga Orekhova had 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 steals, but was just 9 of 21 shooting (not that accurate in this game) including a 3-point shot that rimmed out late that could have tied the game up in the final seconds before the Bulls had to foul.

Kaneisha Saunders had a huge game off the bench, scoring 18 points, 3 assists, and added 2 rebounds. Tiffany Conner had 2 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals on the night. Caitlin Rowe had 6 points and 8 rebounds as well for the Bulls.

This is the second straight close loss to a ranked team for the Bulls, showing they are very close in breaking through, but can't quite find the range and ability to close out games yet. The Bulls will have to figure out there mistakes if they want to get back in the win column. They will have a strong chance on Saturday night as they travel to take on Seton Hall (game starts at 4PM).
