USF Volleyball Takes on St. John's University

The Bulls, coming off of a huge win vs. UCONN, take on St. John's University in another key Big East match-up.

USF, 7-10 (3-2), is trying to make their way up the Big East standings while SJU, 9-12 (0-4), is looking for a big upset here. They are also 1-5 away from home, so USF needs to protect their house once again if they want to come away with a huge victory.

SJU is led by senior outside-hitter/middle-hitter Darlene Ramdin (6-2). She leads the team with 228 kills, 9 service aces, and 33 digs. Senior right-hitter/outside-hitter Brianna Kronbauer (6-0) has 168 kills, 23 sets, and 12 service aces. Senior middle blocker Paulina Piegza (6-2) has 129 kills, 22 sets, and 21 digs (does a little bit of everything). Junior Gabriela Petkova (5-8) has 241 digs and 254 sets on the season (plays center of the court). Junior middle-blocker Sabina Papala (6-4) has 74 kills and 11 service aces. Junior setter Sabina Piegza (6-2) has 17 kills and 428 sets on the season.

The USF ladies had to rally against the Huskies on Friday night, but came away with a huge win. Valerie El Houssine, Janice Rivera, Shelbie Dailey, J'beria Davis, and others all came up huge to get the win and help move the Bulls in the Big East standings. They will needs another performance like they did on Friday night to the get the win.

The game starts at 2PM, so dodge the rain, get out of your boring dorm and head to the Rec center to cheer on the ladies as they go for another big conference win.
