B.J. Daniels had his best statistical season, at least on paper. He had a bad fumble in the loss to WVU and made some bad decisions during the season, but he battled a shoulder injury and was the leader of the offense as he worked under Todd Fitch for the second consecutive season. Let's take a look at his numbers and Eveld's as well.
Daniels finished the season completing 215 out of 365 passes. He threw for 2585 yards (235 yards a game) including 13 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He averaged just under 60% completion at 58.9% and missed one game due to a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder. Daniels improved big time this season with his decision making. he was just 143 out of 245 last season for 1685 yards, including 11 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Now these numbers are a bit off due to the opponents he faced at the start of the season, especially the numbers he built vs. FAMU, but overall, he had a strong season.
Bobby Eveld started one game this season for the injured Daniels but did not have a great season overall. He was 37 out of 67 for 354 yards (55.2% completion percentage) including just 1 touchdown and 4 interceptions in very limited playing time. He was 42 for 75 last season, throwing for 454 yards including 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
