With this final straw not only does the Bulls football season come to an end, but a series of streaks ended tonight with it including:
- Bulls fail to send their seniors off with a win in the final game of the season; the first since 2007.
- Only the third losing season in program history; 1997 and 2004 being the others.
- Subsequently, this also ends the streak of six consecutive winning seasons.
- This loss ends the streak of six consecutive bowl eligibility and appearances.
- First time the team failed to win more than one conference game in a season.
Holtz needs to take advantage of this early start for next season and really get to the root of the problems that took place this year. With majority of the Big East members making their departure after the 2012 season now more than ever does the term, VENGEANCE seem appropriate to be the theme for next year's football campaign.
