Three USF Players Selected in MLS draft

The Bulls were well represented in the 2012 MLS Super Draft. 3 USF Bulls were selected, including one first round pick.

With the 16th pick, Sporting Kansas selected 5-9 190-pound junior Dom Dwyer with their selection. Dwyer, after just one season with USF, took the Bulls to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament and was one of the most dynamic strikers in the college ranks. Dwyer led the Bulls with 16 goals and 2 assists during his time with the Bulls, we wish him the best of the luck with his pro career (wish he was still here!)

Dwyer wasn't alone though. With the 7th pick in the MLS draft, the Columbus Crew selected senior defender Aubrey Perry (5-9 150-pounds). Perry was one of the best defenders for the Bulls and added one assist in his final season with USF. He will join former USF star Bernardo Anor.

Finally graduate senior goalkeeper Chris Blais (6-4 195-pounds) was selected by the San Jose Earthquake with the 14th pick in the second round. Blais had a huge season for USF in net. He stopped 72 shots during the year, allowing just 18 goals (.81 goals per game).

We wish all 3 players the best with their future careers in the MLS.
