USF MBB Upsets Seton Hall

The Bulls, down 42 to 52 at one point late in the second half, came all the way back to upset 24th ranked Seton Hall 56 to 55, improving the USF record to 10-8 (3-2) on the season. Fitzpatrick hit a big three to put USF ahead, but the Pirates got to the line to shoot one-and-one. Jordan Theodore, the Pirates best free throw shooter, missed the first shot as USF grabbed the rebound and the big upset win.

Fitzpatrick had 6 points and 3 rebounds, but those 3 points in the closing seconds were the deciding factor in this game. Anthony Collins had another huge game. AC had 6 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds as he continues his stellar freshman campaign. Augustus Gilchrist had 8 points and 7 rebounds, playing well on defense as he continues to raise his level of play.

Ron Anderson Jr. had 14 points and 5 rebounds. Victor Rudd (getting the start tonight) had 9 points (4 of 11 shooting) and 3 rebounds. Hugh Robertson had 7 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals. Jawanza Poland had 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in the huge win.

This was a huge win for the Bulls. Considering the team won a grand total of 10 games last year, 3 in conference play, they are vastly improved. This was an incredible performance, led by AC and company. The Bulls will get another home game before hitting the road. The Bulls return to action next Wednesday as St. John's comes to town (game starts at 7PM)
