USF MBB Returns Home to Host Seton Hall

The USF men return home after a 49 to 60 loss to Notre Dame on Tuesday night, sending them to a 9-8 (2-2) record. The Bulls won't catch a break as the 24th ranked Seton Hall Pirates come to town with their 15-2 (4-1) record (game starts at 7PM at the Tampa Bay Times Forum).

The Pirates have turned the ship around (insert all jokes here) after just a 13-18 campaign last year. They are ranked and averaging 73.2 points per game. The Bulls will have to control the pace and find a way to get the big upset here.

The Pirates are led by senior forward Herb Pope (6-8 236-pounds). Pope is averaging 17.5 points per game (shooting 50% from the floor) while pulling down 10.8 rebounds per game and leads the team with 31 blocks (look out for him inside). Senior guard Jordan Theodore (6-0 174-points) is averaging 16.5 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, and leads the team with 7.6 assists per game.

Sophomore guard/forward Fuquan Edwin (6-6 205-pounds) is averaging 14.9 points per game (shooting 54% from the floor) and 6.6 rebounds per game. Freshman guard Aaron Cosby (6-3 190-pounds) is averaging 8.4 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game. Sophomore forward Patrik Auda (6-9 225-pounds) is averaging 7.8 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game as well, rounding out a solid front line for the Pirates.

Freshman forward Brandon Mobley (6-9 210-pounds) is averaging 3.9 points per game and 3.8 rebounds per game. Freshman guard Haralds Karlis (6-5 185-pounds) is averaging 3.2 points per game and 2.1 rebounds per game as well from the bench. The Pirates tend to stick with their starters for large portions of the game, so USF has to control the tempo and attack the paint and take the ball right at them.
