From Greg Auman - News came out last night that USF football has finalized the 2012 schedule with a 5th non-conference game against Nevada (will play them in early September).
After TCU decided to head to the Big 12, the Big East was missing the 8th conference game it had been hoping for, forcing USF to find another game to add. The schedules seem to work out for both sides, which means an early trip out west to start the year for the Bulls.
The Wolf Pack of Nevada went 7-6 last year after losing their bowl game to Southern Miss in the Hawaii Bowl. The game will be slightly difficult for the Bulls as they deal with the time change and higher altitude out West.
Nevada joins Tennessee-Chattanooga, Ball State, Florida State, and Miami as the non-conference slate for the Bulls. USF has a full schedule for 2013, so it is possible the Wolf Pack may not play in Tampa until 2014 or 2015 (depending on what the conference schedule becomes).
