USF WBB Comes Up Short Against #15 Georgetown

The USF ladies battled hard, taking the lead a few times, but fell at the end 56 to 66 to 15th ranked Georgetown in the Rec Center.  The Bulls slip to 9-7 (1-1) on the year, but showed fight during the game and has the talent to contend in the conference.

Jasmine Wynne had 17 points (5 of 15 shooting) including 4 rebounds and 2 assists on the day (12 straight game with double digit scoring for Wynne).  Tiffany Conner had 11 rebounds and 4 assists.  Caitlin Rowe had 5 points and 3 rebounds and 2 blocks on the evening.

Inga Orekhova made her season debut for the Bulls and put on a show, leading the team with 18 points, shooting 6 of 16, all from 3-point range (needs to take a few inside shots).  She showed a quick release, getting the start, and could be a big time factor down the road for USF.  She added 2 rebounds and 2 assists on the day as well.  Kaneisha Saunders had 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists as well.  Andrell Smith had 3 points and 3 rebounds.  Shalethia Stringfield had 2 points and an assist as well.

The Bulls came up short in this game, but battled and did everything they could to slow down one of the best teams in the nation.  With Orekhova in the lineup now, the Bulls have more firepower than ever before and will be a threat down the road.  They will next take on Louisville on the road next Wednesday at 7PM.
