A.J. Love Granted 6th Year

A.J. Love will be back next season (picture credits go to usfnation.com)
I'm back and it feels good to be talking about my USF Bulls once more. By now everyone has heard that senior wide receiver A.J. Love has been granted a 6th year of eligibility and will come back next season to help the Bulls offense, which was one of the worst in the nation this season.[keep reading]

Love, 6'2" 205-pounds, was going to be the top receiver this season before he tore his ACL in the Spring game (2nd time he has torn his ACL, once in each knee). Love went through successful surgery and has rehabbed, but not played all season. He is working out with the team, but is still rusty and Coach Holtz does not want to rush him through the bowl practices, but instead wait till next season to play.

In 2009, Love had a big season, catching 26 passes for 489 yards and 4 touchdowns. Along with Sterling Griffin (missed year with ankle surgery, got medical-redshirt) and Dontavia Bogan, the Bulls had a top group of receivers, but it fell apart during the Spring game.

Love will be an instant upgrade for an offense that is losing Bogan and Mo Plancher to graduation. He is a sure handed receiver, has excellent speed, and is a great leader on the field. With Griffin, Lamar, Landi and others, the Bulls will have some weapons in the passing game.
