Ladies Fall Again

The long season just got longer for the USF ladies after they suffered another defeat on the road to WVU, 78 to 52. Andrell Smith had 12 points after she had been cold from the field for several games. Andrea Smith had 16 points, Bernard had 9, and Carn had 8 points.

The game was close in the first half, only traveling by 7 to enter halftime. But cold shooting, mixed with a tough WVU defense and timely shooting spelled doom for the Bulls who have now lost 7 straight games, one of the longest losing streaks in Coach Jose Fernandez's coaching career.

The Bulls are now 9-11 (0-6) in conference play and only a miracle run now will get this team back to its former glory. The team is talented, but losing this many games is hurting their confidence. They next take on Seton Hall on January 25th in the Sun Dome at 7 PM. Seton Hall is a falling program, so this might be a good chance for the ladies to get that first Big East win. Fight on ladies!
