Someone Needs a Hug Today

Everyone deserves some love on Valentine's Day, even Delbert Alvarado.

Valentine's Day is all about love and loving each other, everyone deserves it. Over the years, USF has had some individuals that need some love and have become part of infamous history for the Bulls. Here are three individuals that could use some love today.[keep reading]

Coach Stan Heath

This season has been a disaster for Heath and his team. The Bulls have just 8 wins and seem to be falling apart, the team may be throwing it in at this point. After a 20 win campaign last season, there was some hope around the area that the Bulls may be getting better, much like Heath has done in his history, turning programs around, but this year has seen everything he has done fall apart. There are some out there that are calling for him to be fired, but let's face it, the team is not that good and the Big East is just brutal for a bad team like they are. Make sure if you see Heath, give him a hug today, it has been a rough season.

Delbert Alvarado

As a fan, I feel sorry for Alvarado. He was a solid punter for the Bulls and was decent at times for place kicking, but it is just hard to get over the 6 missed field goals against Auburn (how did we win that game?) and all of his point blank misses. He lost his job twice and was replaced for good with Maikon Bonani. Now Alvarado is looking to make it on a practice squad in the NFL after being cut by the Cowboys. Alvarado will go down in USF history for being one of the most talked about players.

Anthony Crater/Chris Capko

Sigh, these two need a lot of love and hugs today. Crater continues to struggle at the point guard position. He is not looking for shots, turning the ball over, and can't seem to get the offense going enough to break 10 points before halftime it seems. He is beginning to remind me of another lovable point guard, Chris Capko. Capko (a favorite of my site) also had issues at the position, turning the ball over several times a night and never getting the offense going, except trying to get back on defense really fast. Crater is still here and Capko is now at Stetson coaching, but make sure to give them some love today as well.

So which players do you think need some love on this holiday? This is sort of a mean post, but come on, let's be honest, there will always be a few bad players that mess up more than once and USF has had its fair share. Leave your thoughts on which players you think need a huge today.
