Quick and Way Too Early Season Picks

Time to look into the crystal ball and make some very early predictions on the upcoming football schedule.
The 2011 schedule has been announced and already people are speculating well before the Spring practices and final rosters are put together on how the team will fair. Many are thinking this will be the season the Bulls finally break through and win the Big East conference, while some are worried about the tough stretch of games to end the season and wonder if the team can finally put it all together and win.

It is really way to really to make any solid projections on the season and make any educated predictions on each game, but with 190 days to go, why not. Time to break down each game in a brief preview and make an early Spring projection on how the team will do this season.
Now I will have a more accurate prediction after the Spring game and well before the season begins. With unfinished rosters and questions around a lot can happen, but why not have some fun and look into the crystal ball. [keep reading]

USF at Norte Dame - September 3rd
The season opener for the Bulls as they travel to South Bend to take on the Irish. Former Cincy head coach Brian Kelly is in year two of his tenure and he has a loaded team of young talent and a spread offense that came alive against Miami in the bowl game. This could be a win for the Bulls if Daniels plays like we know he can, but I think the Irish at home will be a bit too much.
Prediction: Loss

Ball State at USF - September 10th
The home opener for the Bulls. Ball State, out of the MAC conference is not a strong team. The Bulls have too much speed, size, and talent and should win this game easily.
Prediction: Win

Florida A&M at USF - September 17th
The Bulls second home game is against an FCS program in Florida A&M. While the Rattlers will probably make our band look terrible during half time, the Bulls are just far more talented with speed and will blow out FAMU in this game.
Prediction - Win

UTEP at USF - September 24th
A Conference-USA foe comes to Tampa. This will be in interesting game as UTEP can put up some points. The Bulls have more speed and talent and should take care of business in this game as they go into Big East play with a 3-1 record.
Prediction - Win

USF at Pitt - September 29th
A Thursday game and a short week, the Bulls travel on the road to open up Big East play. Pitt lost a lot of players to the NFL this off season and a new coach leaves them weak at this stage. Usually the Bulls struggle on the road, but it won't be a cold game and Holtz has the road issues turned around. The Bulls win this one in a close game.
Prediction - Win - 4-1 (1-0)

USF at UCONN - October 15
The Bulls will have 16 days off to prepare for the Huskies. UCONN has a new coach and no more Jordan Todman. The Bulls won't have to deal with the cold and will be out for revenge in this game. The Bulls should win this game and make a statement in it as well that they are the team to beat in the Big East.
Prediction - Win - 5-1 (2-0)

Cincinnati at USF - October 22
The Bulls return home to open up the home part of the conference schedule against Bearcat team that fell apart last season. The Cincy defense was terrible and is still rebuilding. The Bulls remember what Collaros did to them last time they came to town and won't let him run around like that again.
Prediction - Win - 6-1 (3-0)

USF at Rutgers - November 5
The Bulls travel to the Jersey Shore to take on Snooki and the Scarlet Knights. The Bulls won a thrilling game and have the talent to take care of business again. The Knights should compete hard in this game, but the Bulls have way more firepower than Rutgers does.
Prediction - Win - 7-1 (4-0)

USF at Syracuse - November 11
The Bulls travel to the Carrier Dome to seek revenge against the Orange. Doug Marone has the Orange playing much better, but they will have to find a new running back to help the offense keep on track. If Daniels and the offense play well in this game like they can, they should get a win here.
Prediction - Win - 8-1 (5-0)

Miami at USF - November 19
This is going to be a great game. The Bulls upset Miami last season, but Golden has the Hurricanes loaded with talent and out for revenge. The game has been moved up a week and it should be a sell out game as the Bulls try to win again, but something tells me this won't be a win for the Bulls. Miami will be focused and ready for us.
Prediction - Loss - 8-2 (5-0)

Louisville at USF - November 25
The Cardinals want revenge after the Bulls upset them last season. The Cardinals are getting better under Charlie Strong, but the Bulls are at home and should be regrouped after the Miami game.
Prediction - Win - 9-2 (6-0)

West Virginia at USF - December 1st
The game many are projecting to be the deciding factor for the Big East title comes down to this night. The Mountaineers will have a new, high flying offense, but a bad memory of games in Tampa. The Bulls will be on a role and will want to close out the night and season with a Big East crown. This game could get wild with offenses waking up and speed on both teams. I see the Bulls taking care of business in this game and getting the win and heading to a BCS BOWL GAME!
Prediction - Win - 10-2 (7-0)

So what, I am a bit bias in my predictions. I have no numbers, no research, no information on final rosters, spring trainings for programs, or anything for this fun prediction. The Bulls have a shot at history and everything could go perfect for them if they stay healthy and play up to their potential. It should be a fun year and I can't wait for Spring practices to get here.
So what do you think USF fans? Think I'm out of my mind, think we will stumble somewhere, or just want to open up the conversation? Leave me your thoughts!
