USF Ladies Drop Second Game of the Season

The 2011 volleyball season continues their rough start to the season, dropping all three sets to New Mexico State in the New Mexico Invite and drop to 0-2 to start the season.

The ladies lost all 3 sets of the match, dropping 18 to 25, 18 to 25, and 17 to 25. The Bulls were close in the first set, but just couldn't muster enough to hang around and try to get a win.

J'beria Davis had 11 kills on the afternoon and 3 digs. Kayla Walton had 4 kills. Valerie El Houssine had 6 kills, 2 assists, and 7 digs as she continues to play well to start the season. Shelbie Dailey had 2 kills, 16 assists, and 2 digs. Janice Rivera had 1 kill and 2 digs as well in front of a crow of 1130 to see the second game of the tournament.

The ladies will return home to face Eastern Kentucky on Friday night at 7:30 PM in the first game of the USF Volleyball Invitational. Hopefully they can notch the first win of the season in front of the home crowd.
