USF Offers 2013 Defensive End Prospect

Recruiting news starts earlier and earlier each season it seems and verbal offers are already being extended to 2013 prospects (do coaches actually get a real day off?)

2013 defensive end prospect Malik Brown received a verbal offer from defensive line coach Kevin Patrick just a few days ago as the school year begins.

Brown, 6-3 205-pounds, from West Palm Beach, Florida (Dwyer High School) visited over the Summer, getting a chance to see the new facilities on campus, and got a chance to meet with the coaches, snagging an offer as well (according to Brown).

At 6-3, Brown has a large, solid frame that could add at least 35-pounds easily that would make him a solid pass rusher that could handle a blitz. He still has a few years of high school to polish his abilities and will continue to see more offers.

The Bulls will need to add to the defensive end position in the next two seasons as Giddins and company become upper-classmen and could potentially leave for greener pastures. While USF is the first verbal offer he has received, it won't be the last. Expect programs like FAU and FIU to jump in quick (with Miami trouble looming) among other programs.
