Key Match-ups for USF vs. Pitt

Here are some of the key match-ups to watch for during the game tonight. USF has been getting huge plays on both sides of the ball, but matching up against the skill players on the Pitt team will be a real challenge for the Bulls. Here are the big ones to watch for.

Darrell Scott vs. SLB Tristan Roberts

Scott continues to pile up the yards and carries, showing his speed and strength. Roberts is a very physical tackler and will try to come up in the gaps to get to Scott and stop him before he can get going in the running game. It will be interesting to see if Scott and offensive line can get the running lanes they need to keep the offense going.

B.J. Daniels vs. DT Chas Alecxih

The success and failure of the offense continues to rest in the hands of Daniels. So far, he has been able to keep on his feet and make the clutch throws needed. Alecxih will be trying to disrupt his timing and take him to the ground (also looking for a turnover whenever he can. Daniels has to watch for him and keep his eyes down the field to make the throws.

Sterling Griffin vs. CB K'waun Williams

Griffin continues to be the top target in the passing game (surrounded by other talented receivers). Williams will most likely match-up with him and will be a fun battle to watch. Williams has a ton of tackles and is one of their best playmakers so they will be expecting him to shut down and keep Griffin out of the offensive gameplan.

Ryne Giddins vs. QB Tino Sunseri

Giddins got his first sack last week and made some nice place getting to the quarterback. He will have his chances against Sunseri who has been criticized about taking too long in the pocket. He is not the most agile runner so Giddins should be able to get to him and cause trouble.

Kayvon Webster vs. WR Devin Street

Street is a big receiver and a vertical threat for the Panthers. With Washington coming off of a knee injury, look to Webster to get the match-up here. He will be undersized in the match-up, but is physical enough and has the speed to get back on any route they try to get him with.
