USF Beats DePaul 1 to 0 Today

After being rained out yesterday (had the 2 to 0 lead too, bummer) the Bulls took on the Blue Demons this morning at 11AM while most students headed to class.

The Bulls and Blue Demons battled and forced the game into overtime despite Demi Stokes taking 5 shots and Chelsea Klotz taking 6 shots on the day, dictating the pace, but the Blue Demons held strong until the first overtime period. With just 6 minutes left in the overtime period, Klotz connected after Stokes helped set up the game winning shot from out of bounds.

This is a very nice (unusual) win for the ladies who improve to 5-3-3 (1-1-2) on the season. USF needed this win after playing so many games close and coming up just short in the win column, they finally get their first Big East win of the season.

The ladies will travel to Cincinnati on Friday night to take on the Bearcats at 7:30 PM in another big conference game for the ladies. Now, everyone get back to class!
