USF Ladies Take on Cincinnati

The USF ladies, 5-3-3 (1-1-2) head on a big road trip as they take on Cincinnati tonight at 7PM. The Bearcats are 5-4-3 (1-2-1) on the season, but are only 1-3-1 at home, so USF has to come out firing since the home field has not been so kind to Cincinnati.

Cincinnati is led by freshman forward Mackenzie Grause (5-8). She has 5 goals on the season and 3 assists (has taken 30 shots, big time striker). Sophomore forward Jazmine Rhodes (5-10) has 4 goals and 1 assists (has also taken 30 shots, so McClure will be busy in the net).

Senior forward Emily Hebbeler (5-5) has 3 goals and 3 assists. Freshman midfielder Christi Howard (5-7) has 3 goals and 1 assist. Senior defender Kelli Pawelko (5-4) has 4 assists on the season (spreading out the shots for everyone from the backline). Senior midfielder Logan Ballinger (5-7) has 2 assists while taking 36 shots (just not connecting on anything so far, keep it that way).

Freshman Kristina Utley (5-8) is the goalkeeper. She has allowed 16 goals this season (1.25 per game) while stopping 55 shots (.775 stopping percentage). She is stopping a lot of shots, but the volume of saves shows that the Cincinnati back line is giving up a lot to opposing offenses, so Stokes, Klotz, and others will have their chance to strike often.

USF needs to win this game and get some solid momentum going as they get further into Big East play. The offense has been struggling early in games and needs to get off to a better start in this game and take the pressure off the defense.
