USF Rallies to Beat Syracuse

The USF Bulls rallied tonight to beat the Syracuse Orange. The Bulls lost the first two sets of the match, but came back strong and won the next three to improve to 5-8 on the season, 1-0 in Big East play.

The key players for USF came up huge for Coach Lessinger. J'beria Davis has 22 kills and 6 digs on the evening. Andrea Rodriguez Gomez has 13 kills and 5 digs. Janice Rivera had 21 digs as she continues to lead the way from the center of court. Freshman Valerie El Houssine had a huge night. She led the way with 30 kills, including 2 service aces and has 16 digs as she led the way to a monster win for the team.

This is a huge win for the Bulls, they needed this win for the team and the program. The Bulls had lost a few tough games and needed to come together and get off to a good start against a tough Big East opponent in the start of conference play and they got it.

The Bulls will now take on Marquette on Sunday at 1 PM as they try to get another huge road win in conference play.
