The USF ladies dropped the first game of the 2011 season at home tonight to Eastern Kentucky, losing 3 sets to 1 (22 to 25, 19 to 25, 25 to 17, and 26 to 28).
The Bulls looked off tonight as they continued to struggle. J'beria Davis had 8 kills, 7 digs, and 1 block. Kimika Rozier had 8 kills. Kayla Walton had 14 kills to lead the team in the 4 sets. Andrea Rodriguez Gomez had 11 kills and 2 blocks. Janice Rivera had 18 digs to lead the team.
The Bulls slip to 0-3 to start the season and will face two teams tomorrow, a talented Maryland Eastern Squad and Bowling Green who is off to a hot start. Let's hope they can rally tomorrow morning and notch the first win of the season.
