Basketball is back! The 2011-2012 season begins in less than a month and before the first game, The Bull Rush will bring you a new segment, Rush Through The Roster, introducing each player as we go through the roster. The segments will bring you all the information you will need for the upcoming season.
To start the series, we first take a look at the transfer from Arizona State, forward Victor Rudd.
Victor Rudd - 6'7" 207-pounds - Sophomore - Forward
Last season: Rudd sat out all of last season (due to NCAA transfer rules) when he came over from Arizona State. In his one season at ASU (15 games) Rudd averaged 2.5 PPG, 1.1 RPG, playing just 6.2 minutes per game.
Outlook for this season: The former 3-star recruit enters his first full season with the Bulls with a lot of hype, especially from head coach Stan Heath. Heath has stated that Rudd is a very athletic player that possess a good skill set. He believes that Rudd can help contribute on both ends of the floor, especially on offense to help fill the void left behind by Dominique Jones (left two season ago).
Rudd has a lot of talent, but can he deliver? The Bulls lacked a go-to scorer last season, a player that could put up 20 points a game and free up the role players in the process. Heath has a lot of faith in Rudd and if he lives up to it, he could have a big season for the Bulls.
