USF Women's Soccer Drops Final Game to Marquette

The long 2011 season came to an end tonight for the USF ladies as they dropped the final game of the year 0 to 2 to Marquette. The Bulls finish the season with a mark of 6-8-4 (2-6-3), finishing a disappointing season that had a lot of promise and expectation entering the year.

Noelle Pineior, Sharla Passariello, Gina Pacheco, and Molly Stack all got one shot on the night as the Eagle defense made life hard on the Bulls offense, nothing could get started. Nicole McClure made 9 stops on the night as Marquette dictated the tempo of the game and pushed USF the entire night.

The Bulls now end the season with a loss and will look back at the season as a growing year. While a strong class of seniors leave the program without getting deeper into the NCAA tournament like they wanted, the foundation they put down for the university is tremendous. We will have a post season wrap up later this week looking back at the ups and downs of the 2011 season. Great job ladies.
