The ladies returned home and put on a show in their big win over in-state foe UNF, winning 76 to 41, the largest margin of win for either team, men or women. The Bulls had a big time lead in the first half, coasting in the second half to a 2-2 record on the season as they begin to get the offense going.
Caitlin Rowe had 9 points 9 (3 for 9) and 2 rebounds. Alisha McDonald had 8 rebounds and 2 points (didn't have to do too much on offense in this game). Jasmine Wynne had 6 points and 2 rebounds. Kaneisha Saunders had 14 points and 4 assists. Andrell Smith had 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists as she continues her impressive play with her sister still recovering. Tiffany Conner had 12 points and 7 rebounds. Fernandez was able to get valuable minutes for a lot of his bench players, giving them great experience, something that will pay off down the road. Daleisha Carn had 8 points and 4 rebounds. Shalethia Stringfield had 4 points off the bench (look for her to continue to get playing time, big time impact from the freshman).
The Bulls are now 2-2 and will host Bethune-Cookman on Thursday night at 7PM back in the Rec Center. The ladies need everyone to come out and support them before they head to Alaska next week (yes, Alaska).
