USF WBB Rallies in Overtime to Beat Central Michigan

The USF ladies got their Alaskan trip started in dramatic fashion as they came from behind to beat Central Michigan 86 to 80 in overtime. The ladies, now 4-2, got a buzzer-beating 3-point shot from Andrell Smith as time expired to send the game to overtime. The Bulls were able to take command and get another win, their 4th straight.

Jasmine Wynne had another solid all-around game. She had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Kaneisha Saunders had 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, taking over as the lead scorer with Andrea Smith still out (knee). Caitlin Rowe had 8 points and 4 rebounds. Andrell Smith and 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists as she continues her strong start to the season. Akila McDonald had 6 points and 5 rebounds, anchoring the paint. Tiffnay Conner had 7 points and 5 rebounds coming off of the bench for Fernandez.

This was a great win for the Bulls as they continue to battle, awaiting Andrea Smith and getting better with each game. They will face the winner of the Miami (OH) and Alaska Anchorage game tomorrow at 6PM. We will have all the coverage for the game! GO BULLS!
