The ladies continue their winning streak as they beat down Bethune-Cookman 72 to 36, improving to 3-2 on the season (just getting started). The ladies dominated the entire game, running up and down the court. They shot 43% from the field and over 90% from the free throw line. They weren't sharp from 3-point range, but there was no need for it in this game.
Akila McDonald had 10 points and 6 rebounds. Caitlin Rowe had 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 blocks (didn't have to do too much on offense in this one). Jasmine Wynne continued her strong start to the season. She scored 12 points, pulled in 7 rebounds, added 2 assists and had 4 steals (does a little bit of everything). Kaneisha Saunders had 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Andrell Smith had 9 points, 1 rebound, and 2 assists.
Daleisha Carn had 6 points and 4 rebounds off the bench. Sasha Bernard had 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Tiffany Conner had 4 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Shalethia Stringfield had 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists on the night, continuing her impressive play from the bench.
The ladies got another huge win to give them a winning record on the season as they continue to play hard and win more games. USF is still missing Andrea Smith and Inga Orekhova, so they are trying to hold the ship together as they wait for those two to return the court. The Bulls will next take on Central Michigan on Wednesday night at 6PM from Alaska, yes, they are playing in Alaska.
