Who is Louisville?

The Cardinals come into the game with a record of 6-5 (4-2) playing their last game of the season, hoping to get another win to improve their bowl chances and finish the year with momentum. They beat UCONN last week 34 to 20, showing their offense can come to life at any point, so the defense has to be ready (at 11AM, let's see how awake they are in this game).

The Cardinals are averaging 20.6 points a game, so not the most explosive offense in the world, but with Bridgewater taking the snaps, anything can happen in this game. They are averaging 121 yards a game on the ground, letting Bridgewater run the zone-read and allowing Victor Anderson and others pound away. They average 203 yards a game in the air, so not the biggest passing team like WVU is (for next week). So 324 yards a game for the Cardinals is not that hard to slow down, the real question will be if the Bulls can score anything.

The Cardinals defense allows just 18.7 points a game, so expect a close game (please not a 3 to 6 game again in this one). They allow 107 yards a game on the ground on average, so this will be real challenge for USF. If Daniels is down, the running game will have to come up even more due to the lack of reps for Eveld in the game. They allow 222 yards a game through the air, so hopefully Fitch will wake up and realize he can let them throw the ball down the field more.

The Cards have 83 penalties on them this season while USF has 73, so both teams can be sloppy at times. The Bulls can't give up free yards and allow the Cards to push down the field and control the clock. They have to play smart in this game and execute.
