It's day two in this five day countdown of the top five gifts USF has given us through the year (can't you feel the holiday cheer already?). At number five, we had the great softball season the ladies had during the Spring. For number four, we take a look at the bigger picture of the athletics department, the new facilities on campus.
Number 4: New Facilities
A few years ago, the Bulls had some of the worst facilities around, from the mildew stained Sun Dome to the basketball team sharing the gym with students during the day, the Bulls had to upgrade if they wanted to take athletics to the next level and so far, they are doing that.
The athletics complex has exploded with brand new fields for baseball, softball, soccer, and practice facilities for basketball and football, USF has moved themselves to the top of the list with first class facilities. The new facilities help the student athletes get better for the field, it also creates incredible venues for fans to go to. The facilities help the coaches recruit the top talents across the country, raising USF to the top of the Big East, and in the near future, to the tops in the country (wishful thinking I know).
So this is gift number four that USF has given us this season, it's a pretty big one.
