USF Crushes FAMU 83 to 59

Fitzpatrick had a career day as USF rolls over FAMU, improving to 6-4 on the season.
USF got back to winning after two rough road games, beating in-state foe FAMU 83 to 59. FAMU kept the game close in the first half, but the Bulls went on a late run and ran away with the win to improve to 6-4 on the season (had just 10 wins last season, so we are getting better, I think).

The Bulls battled a transfer issue (Dority leaving) and illness (Anderson and Rudd both sick), leaving Heath with a depleted bench, but were able to get it together late in the game and pull away.

Anthony Collins had 10 points in the win as he continues to take over the starting guard spot and break ankles along the way. Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 25 points (career high) hitting 11 of 16 shots, including 3 out of 4 on three point shots. Fitzy could do whatever he wanted and the Bulls will need him to continue to progress at the forward position as conference play draws closer.

Gilchrist had 9 points (shot just 3 of 11, has to get better). Blake Nash had 4 points in limited action. Shaun Noriega had 12 points, getting more playing timing and finding his range. Hugh Robertson had 9 points. Victor Rudd had 11 points, battling sickness but battling for the team.

The Bulls need this win after two losses in a row. Beating a team they should have and working through the depth chart will only help the team as they get ready for Auburn on Wednesday (game starts at 9PM).
