JPP and company are in the playoffs. |
The USF football season might be over, but former Bulls players are still making an impact and leading their team into the playoffs. Last night, the Giants beat the Dallas Cowboys to clinch the NFC East title and a berth in the playoffs, in large part to Jason Pierre-Paul and Jacquian Williams.
JPP, now named to the Pro Bowl, had another big night, adding another sack to his season total as the Giants harassed Tony Romo and the Dallas offense. JPP finishes the regular season with 86 total tackles, including 16.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. JPP didn't even start the season on the front line, but due to injuries, he got his chance and doesn't want to give the job back. He got one sack last night on Romo and continues to get better in each game. He is still a young, raw talent at just age 23, but has incredible skills and will only get better (sends the chills down the spines of the NFC quarterbacks for years to come).
Jacquian Williams came up big in the game as well, gaining his first sack of the season. Williams, who like Paul, started the season as the reserve, was pressed into playing time due to injuries and hasn't looked back. He finishes the regular season with 78 tackles and one sack, making 8 tackles last night to help the Giants to the playoffs. He continues to shine playing right beside his fellow Bull brother.
The two of them just continue the growing legacy of USF players making an impact in the pros, one that will only grow with time.
