The USF Bulls battled again in a tight game and came away with the win, beating Illinois State 1 to 0 and improving to 10-2 on the season. USF managed just 5 hits, but it was enough as the pitching staff once again dominated.
Stephanie Medina was 1 for 3 on the day. Kourtney Salvarola was 2 for 3 with the game winning RBI. Sam Greiner went 5 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 walk, and struck out two as she improves to 2-1 to begin her young career. Sara Nevins worked 2 innings of relief, allowing 1 hit and striking out 5 as she picked up her first save of the season.
USF will next face Michigan on Wednesday evening as the Bulls look to beat the 12th ranked Wolverines and continue the great start to the season.
