USF WBB Sends Out Seniors on High Note with Win Over Providence in Overtime

Jasmine Wynne had a big night on senior night as the Bulls got a win in overtime against Providence.
The USF Bulls, on senior night, had to go to overtime but were able to hold on and beat Providence 64 to 58 as they improve to 16-14 (8-8) as they prepare for the Big East tournament that starts on Friday.

On senior night, Jasmine once again shined as she has all season.  She had 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals.  Sasha Bernard had 13 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals.  Inga Orekhova had 17 points and 3 rebounds in the game, including a huge 3-pointer to send the game to overtime where USF was able to lock down on defense and pulled away at the end of the game. Shalethia Stringfield and Akila McDonald both had 6 points and 6 rebounds off the bench as well to held spark the team as they get a huge win to close out the regular season.

USF was just 3-13 on last season in the Big East, so finishing 8-8 without Andrea Smith for the year is a huge accomplishment, but they still have a lot of work ahead of them. The Big East tournament lies ahead and as the Bulls prepare to play in the first round, they have the momentum to get them going as they try to make a run and look for an NIT bid (still possible).
