Kyle Parker struggled in his start as the Bulls lost to Jacksonville 2 to 9 and drop to 8-5 on the season. Parker went just 3.1 innings, allowing 6 hits, 5 runs, 4 walks, and struck out 2 as the Dolphins jumped out to an early lead in this one.
Adrian Puig went 2.2 innings, allowing 1 hit, 2 runs, walked 2, and struck out 2. Mike Clarkson went 2 innings, allowing 1 hit, 2 runs, 4 walks, and struck out 2. Ray Delphey got some work in the 9th inning, allowing 2 hits and struck out 1.
The offense was quiet for most of the game. Alex Mendez went 1 for 5 with an RBI triple in the bottom of the 9th inning. James Ramsay went 3 for 5. Jimmy Falla went 3 for 5 as well.
The Bulls will return to action as they continue their long home stand as they host Eastern Illinois on Friday at 7PM, Saturday at 6PM, and Sunday at 1PM.
When is this team going to live up to it's potential? To get beat by the lesser schools in the state of Florida is outright unacceptable. USF should be competing with Florida, Florida State, and Miami for NCAA tournament bids each year and hosting regionals. Instead, they barely can beat teams they should be spanking. Time to get a coach in here who can coach and produce results. There is no excuse. He has his stadium now. The old coach did better overall with less talent and no facilities. Come on man!!
