The USF Bulls will get a unique opportunity today as they play an exhibition game against the New York Yankees at George Steinbrenner Field in South Tampa (game slated to start at 1PM).
This is the second time in the last 4 years the Bulls have faced the Yankees, dropping the last game 11 to 4 in 2008, but the score is not important, the experience is what matters most.
This is a unique opportunity for the players to meet, talk, and play against major leaguers like Robinson Cano, Derek Jeter, and Mariano Rivera. Some of the USF players may never reach the MLB level, so this is a great chance, maybe a once in a lifetime time opportunity, to take the field with some of the game's best players.
USF will resume action on Saturday as they host Savannah State in a double header beginning at 3PM (final game is on Sunday, starting at noon).
