USF Falls to Ohio in the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament

The journey has come to an end. After a tremendous season, the USF Bulls fell last night to Ohio, 56 to 62, in the round of 32 in the NCAA tournament. USF, finishing the year at 22-14, had an early lead in the game, but the Bobcats made huge shots down the stretch and USF didn't have the answer, but while the loss hurts, we should be proud of this team and the program on the new heights they have accomplished.

Victor Rudd Jr., who came to life in this tournament, scored 13 points, had 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. Anthony Collins had 13 points, 6 assists, and 1 steal. Hugh Robertson had 3 rebounds and an assist. Ron Anderson Jr. had 6 points and 6 rebounds. Augustus Gilchrist had 12 points and 5 rebounds (thank you to the seniors for the incredible year they have given us). Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks and Jawanza Poland had 3 points and a rebound.

What a run it was. USF had a chance in this game, but credit must be given to the Bobcats for their great effort and best of luck to them down the road. For now, we will have to sit and look back at the journey it has been for the team and where the future of the program lies ahead.
